John Frank Rosenblum


A graduate of the University of Southern California School of Cinema-Television , John Frank Rosenblum has been actively involved with the entertainment industry for over thirty years. As a producer, he is experienced in managing all phases of live-action and animation projects from development, pre-production and production through   to delivery and distribution for motion pictures, television and new media in budgets ranging from $10,000-$35,000,000. John Frank is a member of The Producer’s Guild of America (Producer’s Council), The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, The American Federation of Radio and Television Artists and The Screen Actor’s Guild, and he is represented by Tom Marquardt at International Creative Management (ICM).

John Frank has written and produced on several series for television including Trailer Park for The Sci-Fi Channel, Super Structures of the World for The Learning Channel, and Knights of Bloodsteel for SyFy.  John Frank was the Executive Producer of the award winning festival short Anything Once and a producer on Cannibal: The Musical for Trauma Films, in addition to participating in the development of Mimic and Imposter for Miramax/Dimension films. He has written for, produced on, or consulted on writing or production for, numerous series including Doctor Who, South Park, Red Dwarf, and Star Trek: The Next Generation. In addition, John Frank has created hundreds of hours of original programming for new media distribution by companies including Warner Brothers, AOL, Universal, Viacom, Icebox, Wire Break, Digital Entertainment Network,  and produced the content for dozens of websites including South Park, XOMBIE, and Alive!.

In 1980 John Frank, licensed through Lionheart Television, began marketing BBC Television programs to American audiences. In 1985, he began producing public broadcasting fund raising programming. In 1990, became the Vice President of New Media for Entertainment Vision Productions, focusing on developing interactive media and games from movie and television properties. In 1993, John Frank became a producer at Michael Phillips Productions where he produced numerous television series, films and new media projects.

In 2005, John Frank formed Epic Level Entertainment, with producer Cindi Rice, where they create genre content for film, television and new media. Since that time, John Frank’s recent productions include Dragonlance for Paramount, Dungeons & Dragons: Wrath of The Dragon God for Warner Brothers, Knights of Bloodsteel for Sci-Fi Channel, XOMBIE for Halo8, Southland Tales for Persistent Pictures, Alive! for Insight Films, Midnight Chronicles for Boll/KG and The Gamers: Dorkness Rising for Anthem.

John Frank has appeared as himself on ABC World News Tonight, CBS This Morning, Pulse on G4TV, Dr. 90210 on E!, and has been quoted in “The Wall Street Journal,” “The New York Times,” “The Los Angeles Times,” “The Daily Telegraph,” “Empire Magazine,” and (regretfully) “The National Enquirer.”
