Bite Me is the online hit web series garnering more than 4 million views its first month and totaling more than 14 million views its first year. A branded entertainment project, Machinima.com brought on board Epic Level Entertainment for its expertise in online production and genre franchises.
Through Bite Me, Machinima.com is leveraging the passion of zombie culture from its gaming audience, by playing with the concepts of gaming in entertainment, and weaving together a fifteen episode series that debuted December 3, 2010 and will return to digital screen in 2012. To bring the series to the web, Machinima.com partnered with the videogame publisher Capcom to integrate the videogame Dead Rising 2 into the story, and established the characters as habitual gamers and zombie experts. Machinima.com and Epic Level have produced a premium live-action series that speaks to gamers and the broader audience.
Three lifelong gamer friends find themselves in the midst of a real life zombie outbreak. Relying only on the knowledge and skills they have accrued over years of gaming, these guys will have to drop the controller and pick up anything that they can use as a weapon. If they can survive, these unlikely heroes may just be humanity’s best hope of surviving the undead uprising.
